Algunas personas podrían pensar: Jesús, es fácil para ti allá arriba. Tú estás en el cielo. No sabes lo difícil que es aquí abajo. Pero esas personas estarían equivocadas. La Biblia declara que él puede: «. . . compadecerse de nuestras debilidades. . .» (Hebreos 4.15, NVI). Jesús lo sabe. Lo sabe porque él mismo dejó el cielo y vino a la tierra. Él no envió un ángel ni un mensajero. Y no vino como Dios, sino que tomó una completa forma humana.
¿Alguna vez te sientes enojado, asustado o abandonado? Jesús también se sintió así. ¿Sabías que Jesús una vez tuvo tu edad? Tuvo padres a los que debía obedecer y hermanos y hermanas con quienes llevarse bien. Se cayó, se quedó dormido, fue a la escuela, jugó con sus amigos, se rieron de él y también se sintió herido.
Jesús sabe todo lo que estás pasando. Es una de las razones por que vino a la tierra, para poder experimentar lo que se siente y así poder ayudarte a superarlo.
CRECER EN LA GRACIA
Jesús puede ayudarte porque «lo ha experimentado y ha pasado por eso». ¿Hay alguien a quien puedas ayudar porque has pasado por eso? Enseña a un niño más pequeño a atrapar una pelota. Camina con un preescolar asustado a la clase de Biblia. Ayuda a tu hermano o hermana a estudiar para un examen.
Jesus Knows
Some people might think, Jesus, it’s easy for you up there. You’re in heaven. You just don’t know how hard it is down here. But those people would be wrong. The Bible says he “Is able to understand” (Hebrews 4:15 ICB).
Jesus knows. He knows because he himself left heaven and came to earth. He didn’t send an angel or a messenger. And he didn’t come as God. He made himself completely human.
Do you ever feel angry, scared, or left out? Jesus did. Did you know that Jesus was once your age? He had parents to obey and brothers and sisters to get along with. He fell down, and he fell asleep. He went to school and played with friends. He was laughed at, and he was hurt.
Jesus knows everything you’re going through. It’s one of the reasons he came to earth—so he would know what it feels like. And so he could help you get through it.
GROWING IN GRACE
Jesus can help you because he’s “been there and done that.” Is there someone you can help because you’ve been there and done that? Teach a younger child to catch a ball. Walk with a frightened preschooler to Bible class. Help your brother or sister study for a test.
