El que halla su vida, la perderá; y el que pierde su vida por causa de mí, la hallará. (MATEO 10.39, RVC)
Mientras vivió en la tierra, Jesucristo, el Hijo de Dios, afirmó muchas cosas que no tenían sentido cuando las personas las oían por primera vez. ¿Perder la vida para hallarla? ¿Encontrarla para después perderla? ¿De qué estaba hablando? Jesús se expresaba mediante lo que parecían adivinanzas. Quería que las personas se rascaran la cabeza de curiosidad. Además, hablaba acerca de los caminos de Dios y la mente humana no siempre consigue entenderlos.
Piensa en ello de esta forma: estás en la escuela elemental o secundaria, pero es muy probable que conozcas a alguien que asista al instituto. Podrías conversar fácilmente con este estudiante y él comprendería todo aquello que estuvieras compartiendo con él. Pero si él empezara a hablarte de sus deberes de cálculo, te sentirías perdido. Esto no significa que el estudiante del instituto no supiera de qué hablaba. Tan solo quiere decir que sabe más que tú.
Jesús sabe infinitamente más que nadie. Es el sabelotodo supremo, pero en un sentido positivo. De modo que cuando leas la Biblia o escuches algún pasaje de ella que no tenga sentido para ti, pídele a Jesús que te ayude a comprender. Si sigues sintiendo que estás en oscuridad, confía en que él sabe mucho más que tú.

Day 202 • Kinda Confused?
Whoever finds their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life for my sake will find it.
(MATTHEW 10:39)
Jesus Christ, the Son of God, said a lot of things while he lived on Earth that didn’t make sense when people first heard them. Lose your life to find it? Find it then you’ll lose it? What was he talking about? Jesus spoke in ways that sounded like riddles. He wanted people to scratch their heads in curiosity. Plus, he was talking about God’s ways, and the human mind doesn’t always get God’s ways.
Think about it like this: you are in elementary school or middle school, but you probably know someone who is in high school. You could easily talk to the high school student, and he would understand what you’re talking about. But if the student started telling you about his calculus homework, you’d be lost. That doesn’t mean the high school student doesn’t know what he’s talking about. He just knows more than you do.
Jesus knows way more than anyone. He’s the ultimate know-it-all—but in a good way. So when you read or hear something from the Bible that doesn’t make sense to you, ask Jesus to help you understand. If you still feel like you’re in the dark, trust that he knows a lot more than you do.

Jesus, there are many things I don’t understand in the Bible or at church. But I want to believe your words whether I know
