Y se cumplió la Escritura que dice: Abraham creyó a Dios, y le fue contado por justicia, y fue llamado amigo de Dios.

Creer en Dios es muy importante. No hablo solo de creer que Dios existe, pero creer en todo lo que dice y ser obediente a lo que pide que hagas. Abraham fue obediente incluso cuando Dios le pidió sacrificar a su hijo (Génesis 22:2). Después de esto, la Biblia se refiere a él como “el amigo de Dios”. Además, quien escribió Hebreos entendió que creer en Dios es la clave para entrar en el tipo de descanso que Dios nos ofrece (Hebreos 4:2-3, 9).
Jesús fue a visitar a María y Marta porque su hermano Lázaro había muerto (Juan 11:1-44). Había estado muerto en su tumba por cuatro días, pero Jesús les ordenó de todas maneras que rodaran la piedra de la puerta. Marta expresó su incredulidad diciendo que ya era muy tarde para hacer cualquier cosa y Jesús le dijo: “¿No te he dicho que si crees, verás la gloria de Dios?” (Juan 11:40).
Dios nos pide que creamos, y si lo hacemos, veremos su gloria, entraremos a su reposo y seremos llamados sus amigos. La confianza de Abraham le fue acreditada como “justicia” y nuestra fe en Dios nos hace “justicia de Dios en él” (2 Corintios 5:21).
Te animo hoy a que entres al reposo de Dios, te relajes en su presencia y disfrutes tu relación con él.
Oración:
“Padre, ayúdame a entrar en tu reposo y a creer todo lo que dices en tu Palabra, sin importar mis circunstancias. En el nombre de Jesús. Amén”.
BELIEVING GOD
And the scripture was fulfilled that says, “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness,” and he was called God’s friend.
—JAMES 2:23
Believing God is very important. I am not talking about simply believing that God exists, but believing everything He says and being obedient to what He asks you to do. Abraham was even obedient when God asked him to sacrifice his son (Genesis 22:2). Later, the Bible refers to him as God’s friend. In addition, the writer of Hebrews understood that believing is the key to entering the type of rest God offers us (Hebrews 4:2–3, 9).
Jesus went to visit Mary and Martha because their brother, Lazarus, had died (John 11:1–44). He had already been dead and in his tomb for four days, but Jesus commanded them to roll away the stone anyway. Martha expressed her unbelief by saying it was too late to do anything, and Jesus told her if she would only believe she would see the glory of God (John 11:40).
God asks us to believe, and as we do, we will see His glory, enter His rest, and be called His friend. Abraham’s belief was credited to him as righteousness, and our belief in Jesus makes us “the righteousness of God in Him” (2 Corinthians 5:21 NKJV).
I encourage you today to enter God’s rest, relax in His presence, and enjoy your relationship with Him.

“Father, help me enter Your rest and believe everything You say in Your Word, regardless of my circumstances. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”
