Ser Hacedores de la Palabra
• Pero sed hacedores de la palabra, y no tan solamente oidores, engañándoos a vosotros mismos. —SANTIAGO 1:22
• La Biblia está llena de instrucciones que nos ayudarán a vivir mejores, más fructíferas (productivas) y más placenteras existencias.
• Pero, simplemente leer las instrucciones no nos ayudará.
• Necesitamos obedecerlas y ponerlas en práctica en nuestra vida diaria.
Sabiduría Divina y Perseverancia en las Pruebas
• Santiago 1:2-3 nos enseña a estar gozosos en las pruebas, sabiendo que la comprobación de nuestra fe produce paciencia.
• También nos insta a perseverar a través de nuestras dificultades y a rogarle a Dios sabiduría para saber cómo manejarlas (1:4-5).
• Dios promete darnos sabiduría “abundantemente y sin reproche” (Santiago 1:5).
• En otras palabras, incluso si hemos creado problemas a través de nuestra desobediencia, Dios nos ayudará si se lo pedimos.
• No importa lo que hemos hecho, Dios nunca deja de amarnos.
La Importancia de la Obediencia y el Arrepentimiento
• Si estamos dispuestos a arrepentirnos de nuestros pecados, él perdona totalmente y nos ayuda a salir de los enredos que hemos creado.
• Te insto a que comiences a hacer lo que sabes que debes.
• Eso es lo correcto, y no hacer lo que sabes, es un pecado (Santiago 4:17).
• Sé sabio y haz ahora mismo, lo que te dará satisfacción más tarde.
Oración por Perdón y Guía
• “Padre, te pido que perdones mi desobediencia.
• Concédeme sabiduría sobre cómo afrontar mis problemas y ayúdame a recuperar mi vida regresando a tu voluntad.
• En el nombre de Jesús.
• Amén”.
Living by Faith: Obedience and Divine Wisdom
The Importance of Action Over Mere Hearing
• DOING THE RIGHT THING But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. —JAMES 1:22 NKJV
• The Bible is filled with various instructions that will help us live better, more fruitful (productive), more enjoyable lives.
• But simply reading the instructions won’t help us.
• We need to obey them and incorporate them into our daily lives.
Guidance Through Trials and Divine Wisdom
• James 1:2–3 teaches us to be joyful in trials, knowing that the testing of our faith brings out patience.
• James also urges us to persevere through our troubles and ask God for wisdom concerning how to handle them (1:4–5).
• God promises to give us wisdom “liberally and ungrudgingly, without reproaching or faultfinding” (James 1:5 AMPC).
Unconditional Love and Forgiveness
• In other words, even if we have created trouble through disobedience, God will still help us if we ask Him to do so.
• No matter what we have done wrong, God never stops loving us.
• If we are willing to repent of our sins, He totally forgives us and helps us get out of the messes we have created.
The Imperative of Action
• I urge you to begin to do what you know you should do.
• That’s the right thing to do, and not doing what you know to do is sin (James 4:17).
• Be wise and do now what you will be satisfied with later.
A Prayer for Guidance
• “Father, I ask You to forgive my disobedience.
• Grant me wisdom concerning how to confront my problems and help me get my life back into Your will.
• In Jesus’ name. Amen.”
